The terrible problems hens have from laying eggs. This hen is at Back Into Daylight Animal Sanctuary. She is one of the 185 hens we rescued about a month ago.

This poor hen has laid an egg and has terrible bleeding afterwards .

We have her on antibiotics and painkillers for days .

She will be under a heat lamp at night to keep her temperature up to normal .

She will hopefully recover but this can happen her again any day when she lays an egg .

Please don’t eat eggs the suffering of the hens is unbelievable .
